📥 Step 1: Install Microsoft Remote Desktop

  1. Open the App Store on your Mac.

  2. Search for "Microsoft Remote Desktop".

  3. Click "Install" and wait for the installation to complete.

💻 Step 2: Configure the VPS Connection

  1. Launch Microsoft Remote Desktop.

  2. Click the + button → select Add PC/Desktop.


  3. In the PC name field, enter the VPS IP address or domain.

  4. In the User account field:

    - Select "Add User Account" or "Ask when required".

    - Username: (enter the provided username).

    - Password: (enter the provided password).

    - Click Add.

  5. (Optional) In the Friendly name field — give your connection a convenient name (e.g., "VPS ServerUA").

🌐 Step 3: Connection

  1. Double-click the created connection in the list.

  2. After a few seconds, the Windows session window will open.

  3. On the first launch, you may see a certificate warning — click Continue.

You are now connected to your Windows-based VPS and can work even on the night shift.

🛠 Tips:

  1. If the connection does not work:

    - Check that the IP, username, and password are correct.

    - Try restarting Microsoft Remote Desktop.

    - Make sure the VPS is powered on.

  2. If you experience delays or “lag,” try lowering the resolution in the connection settings.
